The brief was to design a luggage that follows the C2C sustainable model. Changes have been made to increase the lifespan of the luggage.

Encore luggage is trying to ensure a longer lifespan than a normal luggage. The user can continue to use the luggage in spite of the defects by making small changes that help expand the luggage life. After the user chooses when the luggage life ended, some elements transform into another product.
Parts that wear out and require the purchase of a new luggage: zipper, plastic casing/ cloth cover.
Parts that wear out which do not necessarily require to purchase a new luggage: handle/ telescopic mechanism, wheels.
To increase the life of the luggage some elements that may break have been changed and simplified. The handle/ telescopic mechanism changed into a rotating handle. The body changed into a structure covered with a fabric that can be changed if it gets ripped. The wheels can change position so if one breaks other wheel can replace the broken one.
The first components that break up are the wheels and the framework cover. The cover can be replaced with a new one (purchased separately). For a longer lifespan, the wheels can be reconfigured if they break. When all the wheels configurations have been exhausted, a new set of wheels can be purchased separately or the luggage can be dismantled and used for its 4th type of proposed life
The luggage comes equipped with 4 wheels. The base has 5 spots where the wheels can be placed. When a wheel gets damaged, it gets removed and can be change to a wheel 3 configuration. When the 3rd wheel breaks, a 2 wheel configuration can be made. At this point the luggage needs to lean against a wall to stand, or the 3rd broken wheel can be used as a rest.
After all the luggage wheels have been damaged, the lower plate becomes a pot for small plants. The top plate serves as a water tray.
